Swimming in the ocean!

Well, it wasn't quite the ocean, but we are sure it seemed that way to Justin. Justin finally has some good balance and control of his torso so we thought we would see how he did taking a bath outside of his "kiddie tub." We filled up the bath tub and put him on in. He played and had a great time as you can see. ALSO, we have a breakthrough, little guy finally has a couple of teeth coming through! One on the top and one on the bottom. This has made him very drooly and slightly irritable, but we are hopeful and confident happy baby Justin shall return soon enough.....we are especially hopeful for this weekend when he gets to visit with Grammy Hawes and Great-Grammy Tokarski for an overnight visit! :)

A Visit from "Auntie Teresa"

This weekend Auntie Teresa came to visit from Kalamazoo. She will be graduating this coming weekend with her Master's degree and we couldn't be more proud of her! With her graduating means she'll be moving and taking a job offer in Manitowoc, WI. So, we were very excited to have her visit and spend extra time with us (even though we'll see her this upcoming weekend).
Justin can't get enough of Auntie Teresa!

After she arrived on Friday, we went bummin' around downtown Ann Arbor and enjoyed the beautiful weather! When we came home we grilled out and Justin had a great time getting to play outside with Auntie.

On Saturday, we went to the mall and did what we always end up doing at the mall...spoiling Justin. Check out one of his purchases...this awesome hat!

In the afternoon we ventured out to Zukey Lake in Pinckney. For anyone who hasn't been to the Zukey Lake Tavern, they have AWESOME pizza! We were a little bummed the upstairs deck wasn't open yet, but still had fun and took a walk on the lake.

I love the following series of photos of Justin & daddy that occurred....Mind you that is juice in Justin's bottle of course!

It was a wonderful weekend and we were very sad to see Auntie Teresa leave. Justin loves Winnie the Pooh and wanted to share the following Pooh quote with everyone, especially his Auntie T....

“If ever there is tomorrow when we're not together.. there is something you must always remember. you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. but the most important thing is, even if we're apart.. I'll always be with you.”

Easter Weekend

We celebrated Justin's first Easter weekend! We know Justin doesn't understand the concept of the Easter Holiday or the Easter Bunny, but we thought it was a nice way to start a standard family tradition. Not only that, but it was a lot of fun for Mom and Dad too!

We began the weekend with a little visit to the Easter Bunny..... :)

Friday we welcomed Grammy Hawes & Uncle Brian! We made special plans to go to a Detroit
Redwings game on Saturday, so of course that made Easter weekend all that more exciting. Friday was also very special as Justin's good buddy Will welcomed a new baby sister, Hallie Claire! Justin was so excited to meet Hallie he gave her a special gift at the hospital (A single yellow rose) It was a sweet gesture of friendship and well, he was a little to shy to admit it, but he thinks Hallie is beautiful; he just may have a little crush on her :)

Friday evening we had our Easter dinner. Justin also recieved his Easter baskets from his grandparents. Such a spoiled little buy, let me tell you!

Saturday evening (after the Redwings game-another blog to entry to come) we did a little Easter egg decorating. As you can see fun was had by all and Justin thought it would be funny to try and eat his Easter egg that was still wet...

Sunday we got up early and went to church and then breakfast. He really tried hard to eat the floweres at church but decided they were to pretty to eat. Check out how styling Justin was in his Easter church clothes....Note his awesome roar slippers ;)

As you can see the weekend tuckered him out, so by breakfast it was lights out!
