11 month bath photos

It's hard to believe Justin is going to be one year old next month. Time flies when you're having fun. And of course he is growing up to be quite the handsome man, just like his daddy! :)

Steven's First Father's Day!

Mommy & Justin had been sneaking around for weeks coming up with the perfect Father's Day weekend for daddy. Their was first the planning of the activities which included the Tiger's vs Brewers baseball gave. This event was extra special to all of us, especially daddy, being it was Justin's very first ball game! Nana & Papa Kapla joined us and we all had a great time! We first went to Hockeytown Cafe and then of course the game we ended the evening at home with a bonfire. It was perfect and little Justin was quite tuckered out by the end of the day. In fact he was pretty tuckered out the first few innings of the game in which he fell asleep on and off, not to mention it was super hot.

Mommy and Justin finally came up with the perfect gift for daddy. I think everyone know's that daddy has a degree in printing management and he works at a book printer in Ann Arbor named Malloy. On top of that, daddy loves to read. Mommy found a great website called shutterfly.com and we ended up making daddy a book about Justin's first year of life and all the adventures he and daddy had. Daddy may hate for me to sharing this, but I am pretty sure he teared up a bit while reading the book. Here is a link if you are interested in seeing it. I think this is the start to a yearly Father's Day tradition...

Here a video from the game too, enjoy!

A trip to Urban Toddler & the park

At the referral of our good friend Erin (Will's mom), Justin, mommy and Nana Kapla checked out Urban Toddler which is equivilant to the "cool place" where kids hang out. This place is amazing and designed with kids in mind.

If you are interested, check out their website http://www.myurbantoddler.com/ They not only have a massive play area, but they have a "food court" and a store. To all of our mommy and daddy friends, next time you come visit we'll have to take you their for the ultimate experience.
This is a picture of Nana...she was a real trooper and still came with us even though she had a tooth pulled just before our adventure to Urban Toddler! Woo hoo for Nana!

Mommy, daddy, and Scout also went to the park in our neighborhood! This was Justin's first time swinging and playing on some of the playground equipment. He was such a happy little guy!

Weekend in Kalamazoo

This past weekend we traveled to Kalamazoo for Steven's cousin, Austin's, high school graduation party. Austin is off to Michigan State in the Fall and we're all very supportive!(...even though it isn't UM!) We were excited to help him celebrate his accomplishment and are very proud of him. Here's a picture of Steven, Justin & Austin at the party. Also note, Justin's maize and blue shirt....coincidence? I think not! :)

Justin giving Austin high five!

Here's another one from the party; Grammy Hawes stealing a little kiss from Justin.

Here's one of Justin hanging out at the hotel after the party; he's waiting for the Red Wings game to start!

We decided staying at the hotel would be a great opportunity for Justin's first swimming pool experience! He did great; no crying at all, we were so proud of the little guy! And he enjoyed every minute of it. It was a bit chilly so we didn't stay in long, but we are sure he's looking forward to his next dip in the pool!
PS.... He looked absolutely adorable in his Finding Nemo Little Swimmers!
I think he's got great form; look out Michael Phelps-there's a new fish in town!

He's so proud of himself :)

Here's a video of our little tadpole in action!

Justin's 10 months old

I know you are all anxiously awaiting the 10 month bath pictures! We can't believe he's almost one! Oh how the time flies. If you ask me, he's growing up too fast!
