To my little Justin ....You will not read this for many years to come, but I never think anyone is too young or old to learn new life lessons...

Almost 2 weeks ago a devestating earthquake shook the country of Haiti killing tens of thousands of people and injuring unfathomable numbers of others.

Know that your mom and dad will always teach you compassion, hope, faith, love and strength. As you grow up you will learn so much more, you will learn not everyone are taught these values, not everyone will agree with you and not everyone will have the heart you were taught to have. Despite this we will teach you to love them as well. As much as we would like to we cannot sheild you from the pain of the world, but we can try to help you understand it and help make a difference in it. It is all very real and you need to understand and look at what you have and feel truly blessed.

There are people suffering all over this world, in our country, in our state and even in our city and in the end they are all part of the human race. What kind of people would we be if we didn't extend those values to them. I can only hope that if the shoe were on the other foot and that was me and you in Haiti or anywhere in the world we could count on the world to come together and embrace the goodwill to all in need.

Just a life's lesson from your dear ole mom... I love you! Always remember to love others and love yourself in return....

Out with the old, 2009, In with the new, 2010.

We spent New Year's in Fremont and spent some quality time with Grammy & Grandpa Hawes along with Uncle Bud. We even got to see Aunt Melissa, Uncle Shane, Nathan & Tamarra.
Justin continued to be spoiled recieving more presents and a lot of love (not that there is ever a thing called too much love?!) We played with his new toys and had an adventure playing in the snow. Justin wasn't the biggest fan of the snow...well, at least when he fell face first in the snow he wasn't. It was a very relaxing break and we hope you enjoy some pictures from our trip.
