Hi Everyone-
We ask that everyone take a moment to pray for a couple of our bestest friends Mike and Tracy as they are dealing with a very sad loss. Mike and Tracy are wonderful people, friends and to us special extended family. We just wanted to let you know we are thinking of you and praying for you and love you both very dearly. Heaven has one more amazing angel....

Baby Hawes is 10 weeks old!

Hi Everyone, today's blog will be written by the proud papa-to-be!

Baby Hawes had his first photo taken today! Still to early to tell the sex but we remain hopeful :-) Jenni felt very happy and I am surprised that she didn't cry although she did get a little teary eyed. It was very cool seeing the little heart beat on the monitor for the first time, I could really barely believe it. According to the doctor everything is normal and looking fine. Doesn't look like there are any twins in our future, but one will do for now. He/she has 2 little arms and feet but you can't really see the feet in the picture. Jenni has gained 17 lbs since we where there last just 3 weeks ago, which the Doctor also reassured her was normal. Jenni said she doesn't feel very happy about the weight but as long as the baby looks healthy she doesn't care (too much.) I don't think she looks big at all and is still the most beautiful girl I know. That's all for now, another exciting third shift to go to to night. Bye-bye

Sweet Freedom

I am finally free of the morning sickness! Sigh, of relief! I have happily moved onto cravings and they aren't so healthy of ones, but I am doing the best I can to control my urges for burgers and ice cream. We went shopping for some maternity clothes for me and I bought myself some really cute stuff. Not to mention comfy. I think I could live in maternity pants forever.

We are super excited to go to our first ultrasound next Wednesday and possibly hear the baby's heartbeat. I think it will make the whole thing feel a little more realistic.

I've have had a cold for the past week, but I am starting to feel a little better. I've been doing a lot of sleeping and drinking fluids to keep me and baby healthy.

Baby Hawes received a very special present today from our friend Marti, a little sport's dinner set (of course Green Bay Packers!) It comes with a little plate, cup, bowl and fork and spoon. Of course auntie Erin and baby Will have been spoiling Baby Hawes and we would like to thank them for all their little gifts over the months. Baby Hawes can't wait to come out and play with Will!

I am hoping to post some pictures of me and "the bump", but well, you know how I am about pictures. We've gotta be picture perfect and well it is a little weird to take a photo of a pertruding belly. But no worries, pictures will be coming!

I hope everyone has a good weekend. We will be helping at our friend Ashley's mother's brain cancer fundraiser. We don't think it is ever to early to start teaching Baby Hawes good deeds to fellow friends in need. And of course we will be rooting on the Packers on Sunday!

Take care and come back and visit soon!

Welcome!

Hi Everyone! Welcome to our life changing experience! If you haven't heard by now, Steven and I are expecting a baby :) Due to the popularity of our friend's (Tom and Erin) blog for little Will we decided to be copy cats and follow their lead. Thanks guys! We thought this would be a great tool for everyone to keep up with our "baby progress"-especially our wonderful friends and family who don't get to visit with us on a regular basis. (No worries, we tell baby all about you!)

We had our first doctor's appointment today. We met with nurse Georgia, who happened to be sweet as a peach! We went over our medical and family history, nutrition & exercise, what to expect the next few months and then we had a string of blood work and pee tests! Oh what fun we had let me tell you! They gave us a wonderful book to read up on and by the end of our appointment my hormones were in overdrive and I was overwhelmed & teary.

Good thing I have such a good support system. Steven has been great. I have been exhausted, battling morning sickness and well, I will be honest, I've had my fair share of hormonal bitchy days. Throughout each day he's been an angel keeping the house cleaned up, taking care of the pets and me and being my personal massage therapist. What a guy hey?

I'm starting to show and I had a meltdown because I have no pants that fit. Picture this if you will....I woke up late for work, was exhausted and well me and our toilet are having this wonderful love hate relationship. I couldn't get my hair the way I wanted it, I was breaking out and then none of my clothing would fit the way I hoped it would. I sat on the floor with pants half on and a shirt half buttoned up tight and started sobbing. How pathetic am I hah! Steven patronized me saying how pretty I looked, HA! God love 'em! :) On a high note, Steven's taking me shopping for maternity clothes this weekend and thanks to Erin I know the best websites to shop at.

Let's see, what else....The baby is currently craving waffles & egg salad sandwhiches (not together of course!) We are NOT liking pizza or the smell of coffee at work.

We have our first ultrasound January 23rd so we are really looking forward to that!

Well stayed tuned for your next edition of the chronicals of baby hawes! We love you all, thanks for all of your support!
