Grandma Sharon & Grandpa Jim Visit!

This weekend Grandma Sharon & Grandpa Jim came over for a weekend visit and we had an amazing time. This was the first time Grandpa Jim was able to see Justin since we were in the hospital, so this made their visit extra special! Justin has grown a lot since that week in the hospital and he was very excited to show Grandpa Jim how big and strong he has gotten over the past 8 weeks!

All of us like classic cars so we made our way to the Clinton Car Show during their visit. Daddy is super excited because he is restoring his 1965 Volkswagon Bug which he had in high school. Unfortunately, he was in a car accident shortly after owning it (not his fault of course!) He saved it all these years and finally has the resources to fix it up. Stay tuned for a future blog of the finished product.......While at the car show we found a bug that was very similar to daddy's car and he couldn't help but pose by it with Justin. We're hoping Justin shares his enthusiasm for VW Bugs.

We also went to Wassem's Apple Orchard and had some fun picking apples and having some donuts and cider. Just even experienced a little cinnamon sugar on his lips which he found mighty tasty!

Finally, we grilled out Saturday evening and cheered on UM rallying to a win over Wisconsin! A good time was had by all. Enjoy some shots of our weekend!

~New Favorite Playtime Activity~

Mommy has to go back to work next week so she is trying to get in all the blogging and playtime with Justin that she can before heading back to the Red Cross!

Justin is starting to become more active and show more emotion. As he recognizes people he is starting to smile and we can make him laugh as well. We have started a little routine in the mornings while getting him dressed that we listen to his Disney Songs C/D. Mommy dances and sings around his room for him and he laughs. We also have a little playtime together. He loves playing on his Baby Einstein playmat as you can see from the videos below.

Enjoy!

He tuckered himself out playing so much!!

Mommy's Birthday Surprise & Nap Time

This past weekend Steven & I snuck away to celebrate my birthday in Canada. Our first night we stayed in Windsor (we recommend visiting Patrick O'Ryan's Pub & The Honest Lawyer) and the 2nd night we stayed in Leamington which was located in the middle of the Wine Touring District. After a great weekend and many purchases from the wineries we were more than excited to see our little guy whom we missed like crazy! (It wasn't easy getting me out of the house when we left Friday afternoon; I cried in the car for almost 15 minutes and randomly thoughout the trip!)

Mommy & Daddy Wine Tasting "Pelee Island Winery"

When we got home Justin had the sweetest surprise for me! I love my little man!

Daddy also bought Justin something very special from the Harley shop in Canada....A Harley patch for his new jean jacket!

Finally here is just a cute video of Justin and his best bud Scout we couldn't resist posting!

~A Piece of Art~

Justin is very artistic (just like his daddy!) from his facial expressions to his vocal talents. Today he was inspired to leave his mark on the world so we thought we would help him out a little with his inspiration....

His feet were his muse.... The color...black...so chic... ;)

Choosing your canvas is always important......

The final product.....Look out DiVinci.....

(This is also mommy's inspiration for her new upcoming tattoo, so stay tuned!)

Sporting the Green & Gold!

So, today was the season opener for the Green Bay Packers and they were playing the evil Minnesota Vikings. This was the perfect opportunity for Justin to sport some of his Green and Gold. Unfortunately, his Packer onesie was too big and his thermal Packer outfit was too big AND too warm to wear. So, he decided to wear his Packer hat, socks and use his binkie (pacifier). He was also sporting a white onesie so basically he was in his socks and underwear cheering on the Pack. :) We all had fun watching the game, but were very disheartened that Brett was missing from the team! :( Secretly mommy and Justin still are Brett fans and cheer on the Jets now as well as the Pack. Shhhhhhhhhhhh..........

TAILGATING! GO PACK!

He's not quite old enough for a Miller Lite so he settled for a bottle.

Hanging out with mom!

He fought so hard to stay awake, but in the end, it just didn't happen ..... :)

Poopy Timing...

We thought we would share something funny about Justin.......Everyday when we sit down to the table for dinner Justin joins us and sits in his high chair. Well, he has this uncanny timing of always choosing this time to do his number 2. It doesn't matter if we eat dinner at a different time each day, he always chooses to poop at the dinner table, which by the way, we tell him isn't very nice table manners! :)

I guess that is something we will have to work on in the future.....

First Big Boy Bath & UM Football Game

Sorry for the delay in writing; Justin was getting his days and nights mixed up causing us to be a little sleep deprived. Thankfully he is back on schedule and last night he only woke up once for a feeding.

We meant to post this earlier, but up until Justin turned one month old we had been giving him sponge baths in his tub. Well, to celebrate his one month marking we decided he was old enough and strong enough for his first big boy bath! Sorry for the lack of photos....his boy parts were showing in almost every picture. We found out he loves water and looks forward to his bathtime :) We can't wait until we can take him to the pool or the lake!

Justin was gearing up for football season and while he is all set for Packer football we discovered he didn't have any maize and blue to sport! Mom and dad fixed that by hitting up the M-Den. As you can see he is all decked out in his UM t-shirt, socks and hat. He even got his face painted that morning when we made a quick trip to IKEA. (They were doing some fun things in the kids center and we couldn't resist) We finally made it home to watch the game and Justin had a great seat up front thanks to his buddy Will (who let him borrow his bumbo chair).
