Welcome!

Hi Everyone! Welcome to our life changing experience! If you haven't heard by now, Steven and I are expecting a baby :) Due to the popularity of our friend's (Tom and Erin) blog for little Will we decided to be copy cats and follow their lead. Thanks guys! We thought this would be a great tool for everyone to keep up with our "baby progress"-especially our wonderful friends and family who don't get to visit with us on a regular basis. (No worries, we tell baby all about you!)

We had our first doctor's appointment today. We met with nurse Georgia, who happened to be sweet as a peach! We went over our medical and family history, nutrition & exercise, what to expect the next few months and then we had a string of blood work and pee tests! Oh what fun we had let me tell you! They gave us a wonderful book to read up on and by the end of our appointment my hormones were in overdrive and I was overwhelmed & teary.

Good thing I have such a good support system. Steven has been great. I have been exhausted, battling morning sickness and well, I will be honest, I've had my fair share of hormonal bitchy days. Throughout each day he's been an angel keeping the house cleaned up, taking care of the pets and me and being my personal massage therapist. What a guy hey?

I'm starting to show and I had a meltdown because I have no pants that fit. Picture this if you will....I woke up late for work, was exhausted and well me and our toilet are having this wonderful love hate relationship. I couldn't get my hair the way I wanted it, I was breaking out and then none of my clothing would fit the way I hoped it would. I sat on the floor with pants half on and a shirt half buttoned up tight and started sobbing. How pathetic am I hah! Steven patronized me saying how pretty I looked, HA! God love 'em! :) On a high note, Steven's taking me shopping for maternity clothes this weekend and thanks to Erin I know the best websites to shop at.

Let's see, what else....The baby is currently craving waffles & egg salad sandwhiches (not together of course!) We are NOT liking pizza or the smell of coffee at work.

We have our first ultrasound January 23rd so we are really looking forward to that!

Well stayed tuned for your next edition of the chronicals of baby hawes! We love you all, thanks for all of your support!

We're glad you're going the blog route! Even though I see you almost every day I'll still check the site often. :)
